30 years in broadcast media. Nationally syndicated on 250+ affiliates with 1.7 million nightly listeners. 17 consecutive years on Talkers Magazine's "America's 100 Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts." Inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame as the youngest inductee in history.
Ryan Seacrest was his intern. Ben Shapiro was his off-air writer at 14. Andrew Breitbart made his first-ever radio appearance on The Rusty Humphries Show. He wrote the preface to Shapiro's first book. He helped build Suzanne Somers' platform into a multi-million dollar online presence.
He left radio because the relationship moved. The audience — and the tools to reach them — changed. So he built new tools. MyBFF Coach is the convergence of 30 years of audience psychology, behavioral science, and the simple truth he's been proving since day one: the relationship is everything.
Founder Story
Rusty Humphries is a Gold Star son. His father, Captain Gary D. Humphries, Executive Officer of the 229th Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, was killed in a rocket attack at Dau Tieng, Vietnam, on January 26, 1969. His name is on the Wall, Panel 34W, Line 84. Rusty spent 15 years hosting the nationally syndicated Rusty Humphries Show on more than 250 stations, and made veterans and active-duty issues central to it. He traveled to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay to support deployed forces, and served as national co-spokesman for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund's Education Center at The Wall campaign. He built Coach Jeff to be the buddy his father's generation never had.
